A Capital Campaign for the Next Generation of Care
November 5, 2025 | Uncategorized

For more than a century, Kline Galland has been a trusted name in compassionate senior care. Rooted in values of dignity, respect, and excellence, our organization has served generations of older adults and families with a simple promise: to provide exceptional senior care by exceptional people every day, in every way, for everyone. From rehabilitation and skilled nursing to assisted living, memory care, home health, and hospice, every service is connected by a shared mission: to help every person age with dignity, choice, and meaning.
That promise is alive and growing stronger. Due to the generosity of our amazing donors, Kline Galland recently reached its ambitious $30 million capital campaign goal, a milestone that is far more than dollars raised. It’s an investment in the next century of senior care.
Celebrating a Campaign Milestone and Looking Ahead
We have embarked on the first major fundraising campaign for Kline Galland in the last two decades– and are fortunate to have been so successful in achieving our initial goal to ensure that seniors throughout the Seattle area continue to receive care that goes beyond the basics. Our Margin of Excellence includes creative enrichment, specialized therapies, on-site dental care, and safe, nurturing environments that feel like home. These vital programs are essential to living well but are not often covered by insurance.
Our capital campaign focuses on four key areas that will shape the next generation of senior care:
- Skilled nursing and residential care: Modernized spaces, upgraded safety features, and warm, home-like environments for those with complex medical or memory care needs.
- Transitional care: Enhancements to the state’s largest rehabilitation unit, designed to help patients recover quickly, regain strength, and safely return home.
- Infrastructure and technology: Energy-efficient systems, new nurse call technology, improved infection control, and security upgrades to keep residents and staff safe.
- The Mary Schwartz Summit: Refreshed dining, fitness, and community spaces to inspire connection and wellness for independent and assisted living residents.
More than renovations, these updates are a renewal of Kline Galland’s commitment to provide the best care possible for today’s seniors and tomorrow’s generations.
Extending the vision
While the campaign reached its initial goal, Kline Galland has extended it another year to support its endowment and to ensure programs and services that support our Margin of Excellence can continue to grow. As healthcare costs rise and government funding tightens, philanthropy is vital to sustaining the level of care that defines Kline Galland.
“This is a critical time in our country’s history, and the need has never been greater for our community to come together in support of our aging family members and neighbors,” says Jeff Cohen, Kline Galland CEO. “The dollars we raise today will make a significant difference in everything we do, touching everyone who comes through our physical doors or receives services from us in the community, now or in the future.”
The heart of it all
At the center of every milestone are the people. The residents who rediscover independence through rehabilitation, the families who find peace through hospice, and the caregivers who treat each person like family. Aging with dignity, comfort, and joy is not only possible; it’s what Kline Galland has always made real.
Now is the time to embrace our future. Together, we can ensure that every generation has access to compassionate, quality care when it’s needed most—one act of generosity at a time.
