Notice: Roof Overlay and Refresh Work in Post Acute Care Unit and Memory Care Unit

Please be informed, beginning on September 8th, roof overlay work will begin above the East 3 Unit and Synagogue. A dumpster truck will be parked by the East 3 exit, for easy construction crew access. The East 3 hallway exit and fire truck lane will remain clear. Portable toilets by the back driveway are for construction crew use only. Roofing work is expected to last 8 weeks.

Please also note that through early October 2026, certain areas of our Campus will receive updates, including the installation of new flooring, new tiling, new lighting, and fresh paint. As of September 14, 2026, this refresh work has been completed in both East-2 A and B units. Refresh work in the East-3 bathing area will conclude at the end of September.

Work will also take place in Memory Care Unit hallways and rooms. Families and/or patients/residents will be notified if there is any impact to resident/patient rooms.

An Important Message Regarding our CMS Rating

Kline Galland Campus at Seward Park would like to provide an important explanation regarding a recent change to our ‘Staffing Star Rating’ through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

CMS requires Kline Galland to report our staffing hours quarterly. Due to our organization’s long-standing commitment to high staffing levels and quality care, we have consistently maintained a 5-star staffing rating under this system.

During the fourth quarter of 2025, an administrative error occurred during the post-submission verification process. This resulted in an inaccurate recording of our staffing outcome for that quarter, which lowered our Staffing Star Rating with CMS from 5 stars to 3 stars, and our ‘Health Inspection Star Rating’ as well.

This 3-star rating does not indicate an actual decline in staffing or quality of care, and our Quality Measure Star Rating remains 5 stars.

We anticipate the rating to be corrected within the next five quarters.

We would like to assure you that Kline Galland continues to maintain strong staffing ratios and remains committed to providing the same high-quality, personalized care we have provided residents and patients for over a century.
