Hospice care is intended to maximize quality for those at end of life by providing symptom management and pain control. This may include medications prescribed by a doctor, companionship of a volunteer sitting bedside, or a gentle massage by a training specialist. Hospice seeks to make this transition a time of comfort, relief, and release.

Hospice care is recommended when a person is entering the last six months of life. Hospice provides a comfortable and meaningful transition. Hospice is often paired with Palliative Care which provides pain management.
